EMI shielding against electromagnetic interference
Electromagnetic waves - also known as radar waves - penetrate all electrical non-conductors without any resistance. Shielding is absolutely necessary in order to protect the sensitive components of electronic equipment against such interference. This can be done by means of chemical or electrochemical plating.
Electroplating ABS, ABS/PC mixtures, PC and PA-6 injection moulded parts results in the application of a metal coating which satisfies the demands of the FCC, VDE, DIN/ISO, IEC and CISPR.
